Supporting Members Wanted

We are looking for individuals, companies and organizations to support Yuchelin's work with us

We work to evaluate the value of onsen correctly, communicate it, and carry it into the future.

We are looking for supporting members who share this aim and sustain our activities on an ongoing basis.

Get to know onsen more deeply, enjoy them, and join us in passing Japan's onsen culture on to the future.

What is a supporting member?

Supporting members are the companies, organizations and individuals who share Yuchelin's philosophy and activities and support them. Supporting members are not statutory members of the association and have no voting rights at the general meeting.

* Joining as a supporting member, or paying membership fees, has no influence whatsoever on Yuchelin's certification or evaluation.

Membership, Fees and Term

Individual Supporting Member
Annual fee: ¥10,000 per unit (one unit or more)

For individuals who share Yuchelin's philosophy and activities and wish to support us personally.

Corporate / Organization Supporting Member
Annual fee: ¥30,000 per unit (one unit or more)

For companies and organizations that share Yuchelin's philosophy and activities and wish to support us on an ongoing basis.

* The membership term is one year from the date of joining. Before the term ends, renewal information is sent via the member portal.

    You receive a Yuchelin digital membership card.

  • Latest news from certified onsen

    Seasonal topics from Yuchelin-certified onsen and a range of onsen-related information, delivered to members.

  • Access to Yuchelin MAP

    A members-only digital map for finding Yuchelin-certified onsen. Filter by region, spring quality and more to find the onsen that suits you.

  • Online seminars (four per year planned)

    A varied program centered on onsen, such as “Characteristics of onsen and how to enjoy them”, “History and culture of Japanese onsen” and “Global onsen trends”. Speakers will include Yuchelin's directors, Council members (onsen tourism, history, science, medicine) and owners and custodians of certified onsen.

  • Listing on the official website (corporate / organization members only)

    Corporate and organization members may have their company or organization name listed on the official Yuchelin website on request.

  • Research, study and evaluation
  • The Award, study sessions and networking events
  • Collaboration with regions, facilities and businesses

How to Apply

Please apply via the application form.(https://app.yuchelin.com/apply)

  1. STEP 1

    Apply

    Fill in the required fields on the application form and submit. A confirmation email is sent automatically.

  2. STEP 2

    Pay the membership fee

    Follow the instructions in the confirmation email. Credit card (immediate) or bank transfer is available.

  3. STEP 3

    Registration complete

    Once payment is confirmed, you receive a registration-complete email. Log in to the member portal with the temporary password in the email and change your password.
